At a Glance

​The field of social sciences is alluring to many and it captured Mr. Lucich’s attention at an early age. In 1960, he graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science. A few years later, he earned a Master of Science from the same university in 1968. A year later and he began his three-decade long career teaching sociology at the University of New England. Throughout the years, Mr. Lucich has maintained affiliation as a fellow of the Australian Anthropological Society. 

In addition to his contributions to professional journals, some of his publications include:

  • Author, The Development of Omaha Kinship Technologies in Three Australian Aboriginal Tribes of the Kimberley Division (1968)
  • Genealogical Symmetry (1987)
  • Compiler, Children’s Stories from the Worora (1969)
